French – Beginner

The beginner student is able to interact in a simple way provided the other person talks slowly and clearly and is prepared to help. The student is able to introduce him/herself and others and is able ask and answer questions about personal details such as where a person lives, people he/she knows and things he/she has.

DILF

  • general French exam at level A1.1
  • number of instruction hours 60-100
  • this exam is the first stage of testing if the student wants to try to pass the DELF/DALF certificate later
  • unlike the above-mentioned certificates, DILF can only be taken in France
  • the exam includes listening, reading, writing and oral testing)

DELF Junior A1

  • general French exam for students in the senior years of primary and secondary schools from the age of 12 up to the school-leaving examination
  • number of instruction hours 60-100
  • the exam includes listening, reading, writing and oral testing
  • all four parts of the exam are scored, with a maximum of 25 points to be obtained from each
  • the candidate must receive at least 50 points out of 100 in order to pass the exam

DELF Prim A1

  • the structure of the exam is the same as in the adult version, only the topics are adapted to the age and level of the pupils
  • number of instruction hours 60-100
  • The diploma is recognized worldwide and throughout the holder’s life
  • the exam includes listening, reading, writing and oral testing

DELF Prim A1.1

  • general French exam for children from age 8 to 12 at A1.1 level
  • the structure of the exam is the same as in the adult version, only the topics are adapted to the age and level of the pupils

DELF A1

  • general French exam at level A1

TCF

  • general French exam, in which the level of proficiency is determined by a point score
  • 100-199 points are required to pass A1
  • the exam includes three compulsory and two optional parts
  • the compulsory part lasts a total of 1 hour 25 minutes:
    • listening (25 minutes)
    • use of language (15 minutes)
    • reading (45 minutes)
  • optional part
    • speaking (12 minutes)
    • writing (60 minutes)

TCF RI

  • this exam tests the ability to communicate in the field of international relations and diplomacy
  • this exam makes it possible to obtain certification from level A1 to C2
  • 100-199 points are required to pass A1
  • the exam includes three compulsory and two optional parts
  • the compulsory part lasts a total of 1 hour 30 minutes:
    • listening
    • use of the language
    • reading
  • optional part
    • speaking (15 minutes)
    • writing (1 hour 45 minutes)

STANAG 6001 1

Standardization Agreement 6001 level 1

  • basic level exam designed to test language skills of employees of NATO and the Czech Army
  • the exam includes:
    • listening (25 minutes)
    • reading (30 minutes)
    • writing (20 minutes)
    • oral testing (10 minutes, conducted with one candidate)

TEF

  • general French exam, in which level of proficiency is determined by a point score
  • the candidate must achieve 69-203 points for level A1
  • validity of the exam is 2 years;
  • the exam includes one compulsory and two optional parts
  • the written part takes 130 minutes in total:
    • listening (40 minutes)
    • use of language (30 minutes)
    • reading (60 minutes)
    • optional part
    • speaking (35 minutes)
    • writing (60 minutes)
