In terms of translation, this means that more and more often we need to translate audio, such as the audio track for videos.\u00a0 Today, it is no longer a problem to get different outputs based on a video file – from a simple\u00a0transcription<\/a> of the original spoken word in the video, through\u00a0creating professional subtitles<\/a> with a translation following after voiceover<\/a> using a voice we select.<\/p>\n

How does it all work? Let’s first imagine some everyday situations<\/strong><\/h4>\n

For example, the video needs to be understood better for our internal purposes and the text form will help us out. A different approach is therefore required when we need to transcribe audio and then translate the resulting transcript, but we want the output directly in subtitle format<\/strong>, most often SRT (SubRip Track) or VTT (Video Text Track). Thanks to the development of hardware and software, Human Voice-over<\/strong> can nowadays also be produced quite well in the home environment, provided that the basic acoustic rules are observed during recording. Again, such an approach can significantly reduce costs while maintaining sufficient quality.\u00a0 A common requirement is to mix the resulting spoken track with the original audio (the original source language speaker is “muted” in the background or the original audio track is directly replaced by the desired voiceover).\u00a0 These operations can now also be handled by a specialist in a translation agency<\/a>.<\/p>\n
