French level C2

  • Can understand with ease virtually everything heard or read.
  • He/she can summarise information from various spoken and written sources, reconstruct arguments and explanations and present them in context.
  • He/she can express himself spontaneously, very fluently and precisely and understands smoother shades of meaning even in more difficult situations.

French language exams for level C2

DALF C2

  • general French exam at level C1
  • minimum number of completed instruction hours: 1060-1200
  • the exam includes:
    • listening
    • reading
    • writing
    • oral testing
  • all four parts of the exam are scored, with a maximum of 25 points to be obtained from each part
  • the candidate must receive at least 50 points out of 100 in order to pass the exam

TCF

  • general French exam, in which the level of proficiency is determined by a point score
  • the candidate must achieve 600-699 points for level C2
  • the exam includes three compulsory and two optional parts
  • the compulsory part lasts a total of 1 hour 25 minutes:
    • listening (25 minutes)
    • use of language (15 minutes)
    • reading (45 minutes)
    • optional part
    • speaking (12 minutes)
    • writing (60 minutes)

TCF RI

  • this exam tests the ability to communicate in the field of international relations and diplomacy
  • this exam makes it possible to obtain certification from level A1 to C2
  • the candidate must achieve 600-699 points for level C2
  • the exam includes three compulsory and two optional parts
  • the compulsory part lasts a total of 1 hour 30 minutes:
    • listening
    • use of the language
    • reading
  • optional part
    • speaking (15 minutes)
    • writing (1 hour 45 minutes)

TEF

  • general French exam, in which the level of proficiency is determined by a point score
  • the candidate must achieve 600-699 points for level C2
  • this test is created by the Center de langue française for the Paris Chamber of Industry and Commerce (CCIP)
  • candidates of all levels take the same test
  • the exam includes: listening, comprehension of the text, optionally also writing and/or speaking,
  • it is also possible to undergo it in a variant intended for applicants for immigration to Canada – TEF Canada – or Québec – TEFaQ

DFP Affaires C2

  • this exam tests knowledge of business French at level C2
  • minimum number of completed instruction hours: approximately 900 hours
  • the exam includes:
    • comprehension of a text
    • independent writing
    • listening
    • independent speaking

State Language Exam Special – Interpreters

this exam tests the knowledge of the French language for the field of interpreting at the C2 level

  • minimum number of completed instruction hours: approximately 1000 hours
  • the exam is organized by language schools with accreditation for state language examinations throughout the Czech Republic
  • the exam includes:
    • written part (180 minutes, consists of listening)
    • oral test (40-45 minutes)

Special State Language Exam – Translators

Special State Language Exam – Translators is an exam testing knowledge of the French language

  • minimum number of completed instruction hours: approximately 1000 hours
  • the exam is organized by language schools with accreditation for state language examinations throughout the Czech Republic
  • the exam includes:
    • written part (240 minutes, reading, translation of texts and writing),
    • oral test (25-30 minutes)
