- Can understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance (e.g. very basic personal and family information, shopping, local geography, employment).
- Can communicate during simple and routine tasks requiring a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar and routine matters.
- Can describe in simple terms aspects of his/her background, immediate environment and matters in areas of immediate need.

DELF A2
- general French exam at level A2
- number of instruction hours 160-200
- the exam includes listening, reading, writing and oral testing
- all four parts of the exam are scored, with a maximum of 25 points to be obtained from each
- the candidate must receive at least 50 points out of 100 in order to pass the exam
DELF Junior A2
- general French exam at level A2 for youth
- general French exam for students in the senior years of primary and secondary schools from the age of 12 up to the school-leaving examination
- number of instruction hours 160-200
- the exam includes listening, reading, writing and oral testing

TFI
- this exam tests knowledge of French for work practice, in which progress is determined by a point score
- the candidate must obtain at least 85 points from the listening part and 105 points from the reading for level A2
- the exam is only written – it consists of 180 questions and tests the comprehension of the read and heard text
