German – Very Advanced

A very advanced student is able to express himself / herself fluently and spontaneously, without too obvious a search for expressions. The student is able to understand a wide range of demanding, longer texts, and recognise implicit meaning. The student is able to use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes. The student is able to produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects.

Goethe Zertifikat C1

general German exam at level C1 for adults

  • the exam is intended primarily for those interested in studying at a university in Germany
  • minimum number of completed instruction hours: approximately 800-1000 hours
  • the exam includes:
    • reading (70 minutes)
    • listening (40 minutes)
    • writing (80 minutes)
    • oral testing (10 or 15 minutes, conducted with two candidates)

Prüfung Wirtschaftsdeutsch International (PWD

this exam tests knowledge of business German at level C1

  • the exam is intended for adults
  • minimum number of completed instruction hours: approx. 800-1000 hours, whereas at least 250 hours should be focused on instruction specialized in business language
  • the exam includes:
    • reading (75 minutes)
    • listening (60 minutes)
    • writing (45 minutes)
    • oral test (20 minutes)

TestDaF

  • general German exam at level B2-C1
  • minimum number of completed instruction hours: approximately 700-1000 hours
  • the exam is intended primarily for those interested in studying at a university in Germany
  • the exam includes:
    • reading (60 minutes)
    • listening (approximately 40 minutes)
    • writing (60 minutes)
    • oral testing (35 minutes, conducted with one candidate)

ÖSD Zertifikat C1

JASPEX Abschlussprüfung

standardized exam tests knowledge of the German language at level C1

  • the exam includes:
  • written part (comprehension of the text, listening, grammar-lexical part, writing)
  • oral test

 

telc Deutsch C1 (Modified Format 2016)

  • general German exam at level C1
  • minimum number of completed instruction hours: approximately 900-1000 hours
  • the exam includes:
    • reading and use of language (90 minutes)
    • listening (40 minutes)
    • writing (70 minutes)
    • oral testing (16 or 24 minutes, usually conducted with two or three candidates)

Test WiDaF

  • this exam tests knowledge of business German, in which progress is determined by a point score
  • the candidate must achieve 736-897 points for level C1;
  • the exam is written only – it includes 150 multi-choice questions and tests vocabulary, grammar, reading, listening

ECL C1

  • general German exam at level C1
  • minimum number of completed instruction hours: approximately 900 hours
  • the exam includes:
    • reading (45 minutes)
    • writing (90 minutes)
    • listening (40 minutes)
    • oral testing (13-21 minutes, conducted with two candidates)

State Language Exam General

  • the exam is organized by language schools with accreditation for state language examinations throughout the Czech Republic
