I am a graduate of the Faculty of Law at Charles University and I started teaching English from the beginning of my studies. After 7 years, I still enjoy this job and what suits me best is that I can organize my own time and also that I can get to know and talk to different people about a variety of topics and see them with smiles on their faces. I know that most of my students are very busy with their work and I try to make English lessons an opportunity for them to slow down and relax during the week. The most important thing and at the same time the greatest success is the pleasant atmosphere and laughter during my classes. I believe that this environment makes it much easier for students to learn a language.

How did a student of linguistic anthropology become a teacher of French and Czech for foreigners?
I started working with Skřivánek at the time I was writing a diploma thesis in the field of comparing two important languages of West Africa, and I continue as a senior lecturer to this day. I like the professional, but at the same time almost family-like, approach of my co-workers here. I like to meet new people from various backgrounds and I believe that learning these languages it opens the door to the French-speaking world and to the intricacies of Czech society. I've heard that the whole world speaks English now! But is that really true? Let's try a different approach too and get to know each other a little better!
Věra Rádyová
I have been teaching German intensively since 2009 and started at Skřivánek as a teacher before being promoted to senior lecturer in 2013. My additional interested in the Czech and Austrian border area resulted in the completion of four study stays at universities in Vienna and Krems an der Donau. I particularly enjoy watching my students develop their language skills and teach them to love foreign languages, especially German.
